    Mr. Dawson,
I just joined the IRCHA but I’ve been an “on and off” R/C pilot since the mid 60s. I began flying helicopters in 1975 but quit flying R/C in 1980. I’ve recently picked up the sport again and am enjoying all the new technology. Things are much different now than when I flew my DuBro Shark with a Kraft single stick radio.

I have a question about IRCHA. Back in the mid 70s I seem to remember being a member of the NRCHA (NATIONAL Radio Control Helicopter Assn). I have not been able to find anything about this organization on the web but I have reference to it in a newspaper article from my hometown dated August 9, 1975. Was IRCHA once known as NRCHA? I was a member and believe I attended the first national event held in Greenville, OH (as my feeble memory recollects). I may be wrong–that was 31 years ago. Can you help with any history or information on this?

    Thanks for help.

    Sincerely,

    Al Anderson
    Centreville, VA
